Studio policies
Age restriction — tattoos
Under the Tattooing of Minors Act 1969, it is a criminal offence to tattoo anyone under the age of 18 in the UK — even with parental consent. No exceptions apply at our studio.
Age restriction — intimate piercings
Under the Policing and Crime Act 2017, intimate piercings (genital or nipple) cannot legally be performed on anyone under 18 in England and Wales, even with consent. For other piercings, valid photo ID is required, and anyone under 16 must attend with a parent or guardian.
Registration
1Tattooz is registered with our local authority for skin piercing and tattooing under the London Local Authorities Act 1991. Registration number available on request in studio.
Hygiene
All needles and tubes are single-use and disposed of after every client. Reusable equipment is autoclave-sterilised between appointments, and every station is cleaned before each booking.
Patch testing
If you have known metal or latex allergies, tell us before your appointment — we're happy to patch-test jewellery or products in advance.
